The Perth Golf Academy was established in 2002 by PGA Member Ritchie Smith. Its goal was to provide outstanding golf tuition for players of all levels at a reasonable price. 

Since opening, the Academy has instructed over two thousand clients, helping to produce golfers that have become National Champions, both male and female National Number One Ranked Amateurs, numerous Tournament and Teaching Professionals, and National and State Representatives.

The reason for our success is simple. Our coaches have a passion to help their clients improve and they endeavor to impart their knowledge through a simple, low pressure teaching style.  Put simply, our coaches want their clients to be the best they can be and care that they achieve their goals.

Perth Golf Academy is based at Melville Glades Golf Club; just 15 minutes from the Perth CBD. 

The Academy boasts an outstanding 300 meter driving range and short game facilities the equal of any in Western Australia. We are able to offer the most up-to-date computer based swing analysis, and have access to some of Australia’s best golf specific Biomechanists, Physiotherapists, Personal Trainers and Massage Therapists. Additionally we have a well stocked golf shop, with manufacturers such as Titleist, Callaway, Cleveland, Srixon and Cobra available for you to try through our club fitting service.
